What is Coaching?

Thursday, 1:41 PM

Dear friend and business owner,

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Peter Vogopoulos and I am a Licensed Professional Business Coach.  My company helps business owners, like youself, get working on the right things, right now.

I find that people seek coaching for one of two reasons:

  1. Some aspect of their business is painfully not working as it should -OR-
  2. Things are going great and they want to take their successful business from the highest-rating of a "10" and make it a "15", "20" or even a "25"!

Business worriesFor example, a typical business owner constantly worries about …

  • Making more money (profitability)
  • Growing their business (marketing, operations)
  • Finding and keeping great employees (human resources)
  • Clarifying their end goals and driving their business toward them (leadership)
  • Balancing work and family relationships (work/life balance)

Well, my clients don’t want to be typical!

They want to create a business that is a high-performing source of freedom for themselves and their families.

How about you?

Are any of these issues important to you?
Are there others you would add to the list?
Which ones are causing the worst headaches for you?
Of those, which one really needs to be addressed today?

That’s where we’d start. And then, we'd work through a proven process that targets all nine pillars of profitability and get your business to a "15".

This is the beauty of coaching.  Unlike consultants, we work with clients over the long term — typically over a year — approaching the business owner and the business as a whole using a 360° view. And unlike one-shot seminars, we reinforce the learning through regular meetings and examine progress on a weekly basis.  The results of my coaching process are more lasting change and more rapid progress.

Can I benefit from coaching?

I don't know, yet. Coaching is not for everyone. Ask yourself the following:

  1. I can't get the type of clients you want
  2. I am working too plain hard
  3. My business depends too much on my, I can't leave on vacation
  4. My income is not what it should be
  5. My sales are inconsistent and not high enough
  6. My customers are only concerned about price
  7. I am experiencing phenomenal success and can't keep up
  8. I feel like you are working in your business and not on it
  9. Finding good people is tough; keeping them is even tougher
  10. I spend a lot of time fighting fires
  11. My goals are unclear and lack actions, measures and timelines
  12. I am not sure how to measure the effectivness of my advertising
  13. Cash is often tight
  14. My family complains I work too hard and would like to see me more
  15. I feel like I own a job rather than a business
  16. I feel frustrated by some of my business challenges
  17. Nobody is willing to buy my business for its real value
  18. Am I willing to be coached and be coachable?

If four or more of the above apply to you and your business, you might need a strategic ally on your team. Don't hesitate until things get worse.
